1985 - Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dale Crover records a demo under the name Fecal Matter.

1987 - Nirvana is formed: Kurt Cobain (vocals/guitar), Krist Novoselic (bass), Jason Everman (guitar) and Chad Channing (drums).

1988 - Nirvana's first single "Love Buzz / Big Cheese" is released.

1989 - Nirvana's first album "Bleach" is released.

1990 - Jason Everman and Chad Channing leaves the band, Mudhoney's drummer Dan Peters is Nirvana's drummer during their European tour. Later that year Dave Grohl joins the band.

1991 - Nevermind is released and Nirvana tours with Sonic Youth on their european tour.

1992 - Nirvana wins awards for Nevermind and their song "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Incesticide is released.

1993 - In Utero is released. Nirvana tours in US.

1994 - Kurt Cobain dies, most people say he killed himself and others say he was murdered.
