Musically, I'm listening to a lot of rock again. I'm reviving the feeling I got when I first moshed. The show was Verbal Assault and SNFU at a dirty old bingo parlor in Omaha around 1985. We were revved up on No Doz and Grape vodka. It seemed like we slammed for hours. We were instant best friends with other punks we had never met before. The experience changed my life. It felt like some tribal act of passage where the kids make up there own crappy little music to show our individuality from generations past. The changing of the guard.
Josie up high, all smiles and weightless above me, is on her way down, now that she's had
her fill of the air, her time in the sky. Me, I'm just back for the company, for the
Fourth of July, for anything really. But already I can see the fireworks coming before
they hit the sky.

I have been recovering well from my wrist injury. I am back on the drum kit and able to
play without any pain.
During my free time, now that 311 is off the road, I've been watching a lot of basketball
and working on my new house (landscaping, etc.). I am also beginning to put some new songs
together in my home studio. We will probably begin rehearsing in May.
